In the continuing effort to foster growth in the development of grass roots short course off road racing, Lucas Oil and Miller Motorsports Park have expanded their regional off road racing series partnership. This program, which builds upon the successful Short Course Racing at the state of the facility which caters to a variety of motorsport disciplines and competitions. It is a testament to the thriving sports nature and we are thrilled to be working with them to develop a strong working model for short course off road racing at a regional level.

As part of the Lucas Oil Regional Off Road Racing Series, the Utah Region at Miller Motorsports Park joins the Southern California Region, and the Arizona Region with Arizona Short Course Championship in the continuing efforts to promote and develop grass roots short course off road racing. As the Lucas Oil team assumes day to day operations of the Southern California series, they wave worked with their Utah &  Arizona counterparts to develop uniform rules and safety standards for each class, including Full and Mini Stock Trucks and Mini Open Trucks. While the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series rulebook will be utilized for existing short course off road racing classes, these new classes will create opportunities for off road racers at all levels to compete safely in short course off road racing.

“We are developing an affordable program for vendors and potential sponsors to become involved with the sport and support short course off road racing,” said Bob Patison, Executive Vice President of Lucas Oil Products. He continued. “With the grass roots nature of this program, affordability for fans, racers, vendors and sponsors is one of our main priorities. The purpose of this program is to continue to develop the sport and introduce more people to the excitement of short course off road racing. We are looking forward to hearing from people who would like to be involved with this program at all levels.”
